Hold onto your controllers. Minecraft or Roblox? Which one actually fits players better? This fight just dropped, trading opened less than a day ago, and the lobby is already split down the middle. Pickaxe people versus Robux people. No spectators allowed.
Let's set the stage. Minecraft is, according to Wikipedia, the best-selling video game of all time, with over 400 million copies sold. It has no required goals, and Creative mode hands you almost every item to build whatever you like. Its biggest server, Hypixel, has been visited by over 14 million unique players. That's a legend with a trophy shelf.
But Roblox isn't here to play nice. The Roblox page on Wikipedia says it's free-to-play, runs on a virtual currency called Robux, and lets developers cash out through the Developer Exchange program. As of February 2025 it reported an average of 85.3 million daily active users, and the company says its monthly player base includes half of all American children under 16. Huge numbers. Huge.

So what does the crowd say? On Morfi, an opinion market where people back their takes with real money, Minecraft leads at 55% consensus with 27 holders. Roblox sits right behind at 45% consensus and 23 holders. 34 traders have put $27,947 behind their opinions so far. That's the crowd's conviction, not a headcount, and it's day one.
My take? Pure opinion, keynote voice on. Minecraft is the sandbox that never asks you to be anything. Open world, open mind, zero pressure. Roblox is a giant arcade of everyone else's ideas, and that's a power move, but when I want to fit a game to me, I want the blank canvas. Minecraft wins the vibe check. Roblox fans, come at me in the comments. Actually, come at me in the market.
What to watch? Whether Roblox's mountain of daily players turns into conviction and flips the lead, or whether Minecraft's legacy locks it in. Early markets swing hard. Jump into the Minecraft or Roblox market on Morfi, pick your side and make the call count.
