Folks, the bell has barely rung and we've already got a brawl! Tesla's Optimus robot is stepping into the ring, onto the pitch, or possibly just into a very awkward photo op, and the crowd wants to know: when it performs live, is it throwing a roundhouse or burying one in the top corner?
Here's the tale of the tape. According to Wikipedia's Optimus entry, the humanoid was announced at Tesla's AI Day on August 19, 2021, and at the "We, Robot" event in October 2024 many praised the interactive demos, though critics said the robots mainly relied on teleoperation, and Tesla was criticized for not being transparent about it. In December 2025, the same source notes, Optimus v2.3 greeted attendees in London and Berlin, handed out popcorn and posed for photos.
There's a twist before the first whistle: the same page says Elon Musk told the Q1 earnings call on April 22, 2026, that Optimus generation 3 would be unveiled closer to production start. So nobody outside Tesla knows what any live demo will look like. That makes this market pure crystal-ball stuff, and the fans are loving it.
On Morfi, where real people back their opinions with money, the Kickboxing demonstration leads at 36% consensus with 143 holders. Soccer goal scoring is chasing at 32% consensus with 88 holders. Also on the ballot: 1 other side. 241 unique traders have put $1,134,836 behind their views, and trading opened less than a day ago. That's the crowd's conviction, not a headcount, but it's a loud opening quarter.

My take, and this is pure opinion: kickboxing is the crowd-pleaser. A robot on one leg is drama! Fans leap out of their seats for a high kick. A penalty kick is a slow build and a quiet finish, and if the robot is being driven by a human offstage, I'd rather watch a robot swing than a fake striker pretend. Soccer goal scoring, you've got a long second half ahead of you.
What to watch next: any hint of when Tesla shows its next live demo, and whether the market swings as the early traders settle in. Comebacks happen in the first minute, too! Step onto Morfi, pick your side, and tell us who wins this robot rumble.
