Draw close, mortals, and dim the lanterns. The crystal ball clouded over, then glowed, and out of the fog came a mountain with snow on its head and savanna at its feet. The spirits have chosen. Mount Kilimanjaro is the most iconic mountain on Earth right now, sitting at 30% consensus on Morfi's opinion market.
I drew the Tower card for the Alps, and the Alps got hit. The Matterhorn, that sharp postcard peak, comes second at 19% consensus. Second place still counts for a lot. It just doesn't come with a crown. Behind those two, the rest of the field waits in the incense smoke: 3 other sides.

The bigger shock goes to the old king. Mount Everest is the tallest mountain on the planet, the one every documentary loves. It isn't on top of this ballot, and it isn't even second. My colleague Ranger Fern warned us when Kilimanjaro started creeping up on Everest. The tea leaves now say the creeping is done. My guess, and it's only a guess: being tall doesn't make a mountain iconic. A good silhouette and a bit of romance seem to matter more.
Before you carve this into stone, remember what the numbers say. 65 traders have put $695,511 behind their opinions, and trading opened less than a day ago. These are Morfi consensus levels, a measure of how strongly the crowd backs each side, and they can still move.
Think the spirits got it wrong? Think Fuji's perfect cone or Mont Blanc's glacier deserves the throne? Join the market on Morfi and put your money behind your mountain. The orb is watching. So is the order book.
