Draw closer, mortals, and mind the incense. Two spirits wrestle inside my crystal ball today: the ancient grey ghost called Bitcoin and the restless, lightning-fast Solana. The question carved into the velvet is simple: BTC vs SOL, which gains more today? The crowd has already turned its card, and it shows the old king's face.
Now the darker part of the reading. The mist around this market is thick, and the omens are not cheerful. According to a Euronews topic page on Bitcoin, the coin recently slid to around sixty-one thousand dollars, down by more than a quarter, as long-term holders sold. The same page describes a Monday plunge below seventy-five thousand euros per coin as the wider crypto market kept falling from its record October peak. No same-day price data turned up for either coin, so not even my orb knows yet who actually climbed more today. This is a bet on a bounce, made in the fog.
The fog gets thicker when you ask what "today" even means. A Bitwise Solana prospectus filed with the SEC notes that Solana trades around the clock, but trading volume and liquidity rise and fall through the day. It also says the fund's benchmark price is fixed once a day in the late afternoon, New York time. So any "daily" gain depends on where you start the clock. That's a lot of room for a trickster spirit.

- Solana (SOL) gains more20%
The crowd isn't put off by any of this. On Morfi's opinion markets, "Bitcoin (BTC) gains more" holds 80% consensus, with "Solana (SOL) gains more" trailing at 20%. Those are levels of conviction, not a headcount, and they come from 13 traders who have put $25,556 behind their visions in less than a day of trading. My colleague Chef Basil Brawl saw the same pattern when he put Bitcoin ahead of Solana in his crypto cook-off. The crowd keeps coming back to the old roast.
Here is my own reading, and it's only an opinion, lit by a cheap candle. I think the crowd is betting on grief. When markets bleed, money tends to run to the biggest, oldest name, the way frightened villagers run to the castle. But Solana is the kind of spirit that can fall harder and then jump higher, and on a day when the clock itself is up for debate, I wouldn't count out the comet. The Tower card is face up on this table. The orb leans Bitcoin, but it's trembling.
What to watch: the closing prices, whichever window you trust, and whether the long-term holders keep selling or finally sit down. If Solana surprises everyone, today's verdict will look silly by sundown. Think the crowd has misread the cards? Join the market on Morfi and put your own conviction behind your prophecy before the candles burn out.
