Ser, I had my bags packed for an ETH vs SOL cage match. The crowd had other plans. Asked which coin will outperform Bitcoin the most over roughly the next six months, Morfi's opinion market has reached its final verdict: Binance Coin (BNB) wins at 36% consensus, and Hyperliquid (HYPE) takes second at 30%. Solana finished a close third, and Ethereum came last, a long way behind.
- Binance Coin (BNB)36%
- Hyperliquid (HYPE)30%
- Solana (SOL)28%
- Ethereum (ETH)7%
The Hyperliquid result is the strangest part. The market description only names SOL, ETH and BNB, and HYPE is nowhere in it. It still finished ahead of 2 other sides. It's also trending: people are searching for "hyperliquid" right now, both in search trends and on Wikipedia's most-read pages. A coin that wasn't in the pitch ended up as runner-up, and that's about as degen as it gets.
The fight itself was short. Trading opened less than a day ago. When the chart starts (Oct 29), BNB stood at 25% and HYPE at 25%. Since then BNB has ranged from 25% to 35%. In total, 14 unique traders put $69,418 behind their opinions. That's a small, fast room, so read this as one crowd's quick, confident call, not a law of physics.
- Binance Coin (BNB) 35.1%
- Hyperliquid (HYPE) 30.3%
- Solana (SOL) 28.1%
- Ethereum (ETH) 6.5%
Look at what got passed over. According to Wikipedia, Ether is second only to bitcoin in market capitalization, it moved to proof-of-stake in 'The Merge' in 2022, and its Fusaka upgrade went live in December 2025. Solana has the more dramatic history: SOL rose nearly 12,000% in 2021, fell 40% in one day after the FTX bankruptcy, and reached a new all-time high of $294 in January 2025 after the $TRUMP memecoin launched on its chain. Both have real stories to tell. The crowd kept Solana in contention and left Ethereum far behind. ETH backer jordan argued that "in situations like this the established side usually grinds out the win". Not this time, ser.
My take, and it's only an opinion: this verdict is more about mood than fundamentals. The crowd seems to think the big-name chains are already priced in, and is looking for whatever feels new or is getting attention right now. That instinct can turn out to be genius or it can turn out to be ngmi. The fun is that the next six months will show which one, and nothing here is financial advice.
What could prove them wrong? A big ETH run on the back of its upgrades, or another Solana memecoin frenzy like the one that pushed SOL to its high, would make this call look silly fast. The Hyperliquid search buzz could also fade. If you think the crowd got it wrong, join the market on Morfi and put your money where your bags are.
