Breaking, with the usual caveats: the crowd has picked a winner in the fight over the most popular social media app. X (Twitter) leads at 48% consensus, ahead of TikTok at 17%. The question, "Aplikasi sosmed terpopuler", asks traders to judge popularity by perception, usage and global cultural influence. It is not asking them to forecast any event.

Some definitions first. These percentages are Morfi "consensus" figures. They measure how strongly the crowd backs each side, weighted by money put behind the opinion. They are not a headcount, and they do not mean that some share of users picked X. They tell you where conviction has gathered. Here it has gathered around the platform that changed its name and kept the old one in brackets.
The rest of the ballot, 3 other sides, has so far failed to dislodge the top two. That is notable, because several of those apps would win a straight contest on raw user numbers. The market's criteria help explain it. "Cultural influence" rewards whatever everyone is arguing about, and arguing is X's core product. Its official product is something else.
Now for some skepticism. Trading opened less than a day ago, with 30 unique traders and $195,129 committed so far. That is a real signal, but an early one. Opinion markets can move quickly once more traders arrive, and TikTok sits close enough to make this a live contest rather than a coronation.
All figures come from live opinion markets on Morfi, where people back their views with money. If you think the crowd has overrated the bird-turned-letter, or underrated the short-video machine, you can join the market and put your stake where your scroll is.
