Chefs, step up to the pass. Three kitchens, one question: who is feeding the most mouths on the internet? In one station, the old diner that serves the whole family, Facebook. In another, the glossy patisserie where every plate is photographed before anyone eats it, Instagram. And in the corner, clanging pans and shouting at the extractor fan, X, the kitchen we used to call Twitter. The market opened less than a day ago and the crowd is already throwing spoons.

Now let me read you the recipe card, because this is not a matter of taste. According to Facebook's Wikipedia entry, the blue diner had roughly three billion monthly active users as of March 2026. Instagram's numbers are messier: a February 2026 Wikipedia list can't decide whether to plate it at three billion or a little under that, and Britannica notes it passed two billion back in 2022. X, meanwhile, doesn't publish active-account figures at all. Wikipedia reports that Elon Musk claimed around six hundred million monthly users in May 2024, and that same February list puts X at a bit over half a billion. Remember too that Facebook and Instagram come out of the same Meta Platforms kitchen, and the companies don't count their diners the same way.

And the crowd's verdict? dramatic pause Instagram leads at 60% consensus with 6 holders. X takes second place at 24% consensus, backed by 6 holders. Also on the menu: 1 other side. So far 13 unique traders have put $261,966 behind their opinions on Morfi. Here's the twist that has me clutching my apron: the kitchen with the biggest published headcount is not the one the crowd is crowning.

My tasting notes, and this is opinion, served hot: the crowd is judging on presentation. Instagram is the soufflé, gorgeous and towering and the talk of the room. X is the flambé, a lot of fire and noise for a dish that, if the published figures are right, feeds a fraction of the tables. Facebook is the giant pot of stew your aunt still makes. Nobody posts it, nobody brags about it, and somehow it feeds about three billion people. I think the crowd has mixed up cool with crowded. Instagram could close the gap, sure, since the numbers are so close that a single kitchen census could flip the order. But X in second? Darling, that dish is undercooked.

Pixel-art cook-off stage with a spotlit soufflé, a flaming pan and a big stew pot with a long queue of diners.
The soufflé gets the spotlight, the flambé gets the gasps, and the stew quietly feeds the planet.

What to watch next: any fresh user count from Meta that finally splits Instagram from Facebook on the same basis, and whether X ever opens its books instead of serving us claims straight from the owner. The market is less than a day old, so the pot is still simmering. Think the crowd is mistaking the garnish for the main course? Head over to Morfi, join the market, and put your money where your fork is.
