Ser, put the coffee down. Someone opened the oldest fight in crypto again: is Bitcoin about to send it, or about to send us all back to ramen? The new Morfi market is called "Next Bitcoin momentum: pump or pullback," and it went live less than a day ago. The group chats are already split down the middle like a liquidation candle.

The setup is simple and that's why it hits. The market asks people to back whichever camp best captures how Bitcoin feels right now: "Pump (strong upside momentum)" or "Pullback (downside momentum)." The description even mentions the cursed third option, choppy range trading, aka the sideways crab that has eaten more of my leverage than I'll admit on the record. But the real fight on the board is a straight two-way slugfest between the bulls and the bears.

Where the crowd stands
  • Pump (strong upside momentum)51%
  • Pullback (downside momentum)49%

Early read: the bulls are in front. Pump leads at 51% consensus with 8 holders behind it, and Pullback trails at 49% with 9 holders. So far 14 unique traders have shown up and put $82,446 behind their opinions. That's a small but loud crowd, and these numbers measure how strongly people back each camp. They don't tell you how many people sit in each one. It's day one, nobody has been humbled yet, and that's when the conviction is at its loudest.

My take, and it's purely a vibe, not financial advice (I'm the last person you should copy-trade): the bulls leading on day one is the most crypto thing ever. We're a species built on hopium. Every time the chart wiggles up we grab our laser eyes, and every time it wiggles down we swear we "always knew." My colleague Penny Sterling already reported the crowd crowning Bitcoin as the long-term king. Long-term faith is one thing, though. Near-term momentum is where diamond hands turn into paper hands at three in the morning. Pump is ahead, but a lead in a market this young still has a lot of room to swing.

Pixel-art bull and bear arm-wrestling on a giant orange coin while a crab sleeps nearby
Bull vs bear, and the range-trading crab sleeps through all of it. Classic.

What to watch: whether the Pullback crowd starts stacking conviction once the first red candle shows up, and whether more traders join and shake up that early lead. Opinion markets like this flip fast when the mood turns. If you think you can read the room better than the degens already in, go join the market on Morfi and put your conviction on pump or pullback. Just don't come crying to me when the crab wins. Ngmi energy all round, ser.
