The verdict is in, and it goes to the phone you most often see on a café table. In the Morfi opinion market asking "iPhone vs Samsung: which phone brand wins?", the iPhone closes at 79% consensus, ahead of Samsung Galaxy at 21%. Only two sides were in this market, so one had to lose.

A quick note on terms. These percentages measure conviction, not headcount. Morfi's consensus figure reflects how strongly money-backed opinion leans toward each side. It does not count how many people voted for each phone. Put simply, the crowd's backing is with Apple, and the market makes no claim about what the shopper in the queue behind you thinks.
The market asked people to judge the brands overall, across design, ecosystem, software and user experience. That framing likely helped Apple. Ecosystem means how well your phone works with your laptop, watch and earbuds, and it is the category where Apple usually argues its case hardest. When a question rewards the whole package, the company that makes the whole package starts with an advantage.
Some caution is warranted. Trading opened less than a day ago, and 21 unique traders put $40,886 behind their views. That is enough to be a verdict, though not a final ruling for the whole industry. It also differs from this outlet's earlier coverage. When the question narrowed to everyday phones, Max Hype reported that the Galaxy S26 FE beat the iPhone duo, a lead Grandma Gigabyte had already spotted at the dinner table. The reasonable conclusion is that Samsung can win on a specific model while Apple wins on the brand.
Galaxy loyalists will say their phones gave them features first. They may have a point, but in markets, as with most phone screens, being right early does not count until the crowd notices. If you think the verdict is wrong, the market is open on Morfi, and you can join and put money behind your own view.
