Ser, the bell has barely rung and the timeline is already on fire. A fresh opinion market on Morfi asks the question every group chat has fought about since the first Falcon landed on a barge: is Elon Musk's innovation mostly helpful, or mostly money wasting? It opened less than a day ago and people are already putting real money down. In the opening rounds, the bears are winning.

The fight has plenty to chew on. According to Euronews Business, SpaceX reported a smaller quarterly loss than analysts expected, and revenue more than doubled year on year. In the same report, infrastructure and R&D spending jumped from under three billion dollars to eighteen billion, investors questioned whether Musk had oversold the space and Grok AI story, and the stock had fallen by roughly half from its June peak. Then there's the car. CBC reports that the new Tesla Roadster won't enter production until 2028, and its claimed range is less than half of what was promised when the prototype appeared in 2017. Analysts who spoke to Euronews said it won't bring in much revenue and that its real value is polishing Tesla's image as an innovator.

Where the crowd stands

Here's where the crowd stands. "Mostly money wasting" leads with 51% consensus from 10 holders. "Mostly helpful" trails at 49% with 9 holders. So far 10 traders have put $23,721 behind their opinions. Remember that those percentages measure the crowd's conviction, not a headcount. Right now, conviction is with the camp that sees a spending bill eight times bigger than a year ago and a Roadster that arrived with half the range. My colleague Viktor Dispatch saw something similar when another Morfi crowd kept SpaceX stock below two hundred dollars. When it comes to Musk's numbers, these crowds tend to want proof before they pay up.

Pixel-art rocket built from gold coins launching while some coins fall into a pit, with small traders waving green and red flags on either side.
Number go up, or number go down the hole? Pick a flag, ser.

My take, and it's only a take from someone who has bought every top since forever: the bears are early, not right. Calling the whole empire a money pit overlooks the boring stuff that actually works. Euronews reported that Starlink had more than nine thousand satellites in orbit and around nine million customers back when SpaceX was valued at about a trillion euros. Rockets that land themselves and internet from orbit aren't vaporware. Is a flying-car-flavored Roadster due in 2028 a distraction? Sure, probably. But the crowd is pricing the hype tax and skipping the infrastructure. Not financial advice, just a degen who has been ngmi enough times to know what a premature dump looks like.

Two things to watch: SpaceX's next earnings, and whether that eighteen-billion spending binge starts paying for itself. If spending keeps climbing faster than revenue, the money-wasting camp will feel vindicated. If the losses keep shrinking, the helpful side has a comeback story. This market lives on Morfi, where people back their opinions with real money, and it's only a few hours old. Join the market, pick a side and put some skin in the game, ser.
