Gather close, seekers, and dim the lamps. Tonight I turned over the Tower card, the one with the lightning and the falling bodies and the general air of financial ruin, and asked the orb whether Solana would rise or fall. The smoke swirled, it moaned, it got very theatrical. Then it gave a cheerful little shrug and pointed up. The crowd has decided: on Solana's near-term mood, "Up" takes the crown.
I can't blame the orb for being nervous, because this coin's palm is all scars. Sol Strategies reported that SOL peaked near three hundred dollars in January 2025 and slumped below a hundred by April. The fall kept going: The Solana Company's annual report put SOL at about eighty-three dollars in late March 2026, which it described as a one-third drop since the end of 2025. A stomach-churning ride, in other words, with no seatbelts.
The latest cards are kinder. In late August 2026, DeFi Development Corp. said it had restarted buying SOL, picking up roughly nineteen thousand coins at just under a hundred dollars each. It also claimed SOL had beaten the Nasdaq-100 by about a third so far that quarter. A word of warning from the tent: those figures are company filings, not a live price. My brief had no current quote, so they tell you which way the wind blew recently, not where it blows tonight.
- Up91%
- Down9%
Now the numbers that actually matter in this tent. On Morfi's opinion market, "Up" holds 91% consensus and "Down" trails at 9%. In this market's first day, 14 traders have put $970,016 behind their opinions. This is a measure of the crowd's conviction, not a headcount, and the crowd is clearly reading those treasury companies' renewed buying as a good omen, not the Tower card. It also isn't the first time Solana's crystal ball has shown sunshine: my colleague Chef Basil Brawl watched the same rise in his Solana cook-off, where "Up" took the crown.
My own reading, and this is opinion poured from a very dramatic teapot: the crowd is half right. Companies scooping up coins at dip prices is the oldest omen in crypto, but this coin has a habit of throwing seekers off a cliff and then calling the trip a learning experience. I see a rise in the mist, yes, but behind it stands a figure in a black hood holding a chart from April 2025. Bet on the sunrise if you like, but leave the parasol at home.
Here is what to watch: whether more SOL treasury companies admit to fresh buying, whether that late-summer strength against tech stocks holds up, and whether "Down" gathers enough conviction to cloud the orb again. The market is barely a day old and the cards can still flip. Step into the tent, join the market on Morfi, and put your own money behind your prophecy.
