Ser, the verdict is in and the boxes win. Degens were asked which company has the best customer experience, with four retailers on the ballot and real money as the vote. The crowd walked past the free samples, past the bulk rotisserie chicken, past the glass cube full of genius bars, and clicked Buy Now on Amazon. Number go up for the cardboard empire.

Here's the plot twist: the official scoreboard says something else. According to Wikipedia's Trader Joe's entry, the grocer topped the American Customer Satisfaction Index retail rankings in 2026 with eighty-six percent satisfaction, ahead of Publix, after tying Publix for first in 2025. The ACSI surveys hundreds of thousands of customers a year. Costco has its own trophy too, ranked first in specialty retail back in 2014, a result now over a decade old. Amazon's survey glory is even older: a 2009 NPR report put online sellers like Amazon at or near the top of satisfaction rankings back then.

The crowd doesn't care about clipboards. On Morfi, Amazon sits at 35% consensus, with Trader Joe's in second at 25%, and 2 other sides stuck further back. So far 40 traders have put $106,146 behind their opinions. The pollsters' current champ is the runner-up here. My colleague Viktor Dispatch already spotted the Prime lead forming, and it held.

My take, and it's purely my opinion: this is the most degen result possible. We are people who refresh charts at 3am and say gm to strangers. Of course we picked the store that never makes us leave the couch or talk to a cashier. Trader Joe's wins the surveys because humans love a cheerful Hawaiian shirt. Amazon wins with the crowd because a parcel on the doorstep feels like a green candle. I've bought tops worse than a next-day delivery, trust me.

Pixel-art trader on a couch buried in delivery boxes, a green chart glowing, a small grocery store far in the background.
Touching grass is ngmi when the grass ships in two days.

What to watch: this market opened less than a day ago, and an early lead is not a cold wallet. If the ACSI fans show up with Trader Joe's tote bags, the gap could close quickly. This is opinion market data from Morfi, not financial advice, ser, and you can join the market and put your money on whoever you think wins on customer love.
